Dorian House - Covid-19
We are looking forward to welcoming guests back to Dorian House at the end of August 2020.
To ensure the safety of all guests and staff we have taken measures to ensure we are Covid secure and compliant. We will of course do all we can to ensure the measures do not impact your stay whilst keeping the health and safety of all as our uppermost priority. However, with this new normal your experience may be a little different, our small team will continue to do all we can to make sure your stay is as relaxing and enjoyable as possible.
Whilst these measures are based on the current government advice and guidance we reserve the right to change and update our procedures without notice given the current pandemic and inline with any government updates
We do also ask guests wear a face covering in all public areas of the Bed & Breakfast as per the Government guidelines. It is also current government advice for a face covering to be worn in indoor spaces including shops and attractions while out and about around Bath.
Check In & Check Out
Our check in will remain from 2pm - 7pm. When you arrive we will welcome you from a minimum of the current advised distance. Your Keys, a map and if required parking permit will be waiting for you on our entrance table.
Check out is no later than 11am where we request you drop your keys in the box in the hallway.
For us Breakfast is very important and with our 5 food hygiene rating we fully intend to keep up the high standards our guests expect from us. With the ongoing relaxation of the guidance we intend to be able to welcome guests into the Breakfast room in pre booked slots, this will allow us to ensure we can maintain safe distancing between tables at all times. You will be asked on check in which sitting you would prefer and this will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
We will be unable to offer a help yourself buffet, we have amended our menus and our team will take your order and bring everything to you while you sit back and relax.
We will of course be maintaining our high standards of cleaning and are implementing an even stricter cleaning routine with the team undertaking additional and updated training.
Housekeeping during your stay will always make sure all surfaces and soft furnishings are fully sanitised using approved and appropriate EN14476 certified products.
Highly used touch points such as door handles will be cleaned regularly throughout the day.
Our team will be following NHS handwashing guidance and will ensure they undertake regular hand washing.
The government advises limiting cross contamination as far as possible, therefore we will not enter rooms for housekeeping duties unless requested on check in or during your stay.
Of course should you need additional hospitality items, fresh towels etc please let us know during reception hours and we will be happy to provide these for you.
We will provide Hand Sanitiser in the entrance hall and would request guests use it on their return from time out and about.
We have had to remove items in some of our communal areas such as leaflets, magazines, mints and our honesty bar. Should you require ice, glasses or leaflets please ask any of the team during reception hours.
As a victorian house our hallways and entrance ways are pinch points so we ask that all guests are aware and use social distancing appropriately around the property. Your assistance and compliance is greatly appreciated. Where distancing is not possible the use of masks is recommended. Our team will do their upmost to ensure the same keeping a 1m+ distance
It is essential you follow the government guidance and DO NOT TRAVEL if you are displaying any symptoms or are unwell.
If you develop symptoms during your stay we ask you to let us know. You should immediately return home to self isolate.
Our team will be checked each day upon arrival and should they display any symptoms will immediately be sent home.
